Research
As part of our group, I investigate the fundamentals and control of pulsed laser deposited thin metallic films by the use of a high-speed non-contact Atomic Force Microscope (HS-nc-AFM) which is under development. The new instrument will enable direct visualization of many dynamic processes, revealing some of the mysteries in real-time pulsed laser deposited thin film growth in order to gain both a better understanding as well as more control on this growth technique.
